Savage Lever Actions: 1899's and 99's

I love lever action rifles. Current count is 12, with 9 being Winchesters (nope, not many by a lot of folks standards, but I'm having fun and the collection is growing).  As much as I love Winchesters, I really have fun with Savages.  The first two pics is of the first Savage I bought, a 99 Takedown built in 1928 in .303 Savage.

The next one is of a 1961 vintage 99DL in .300 Savage. I used it this season in pursuit of a big deer. I passed many smaller bucks, including one decent 8-point. With time running out, I used it to kill a nice young doe for donation to a local family.

The final pic is of my most recent Savage. Its an 1899 in .303 Savage built in 1916. It features a period Marbles rear tang and an original Lyman ivory bead (yes, real ivory) flip-up globe sight.

All these guns are remarkably accurate. I can consistently shoot 3" groups at 100 yards with the .303's and five shot 1" groups are the norm for the .300.  All these were accurized using the Huntaria Enterprises LLC methodology and each uses custom Huntaria Enterprises LLC ammunition.
